Las Vegas Home Prices down nearly 30 percent in year

Las Vegas home prices plunged almost 30 percent in the 12 month period ended in July according to Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller Housing Index (full index). The closely watched index of 20 cities fell a record 16.3 percent in the July 2007-July 2008 period, with home values in all 20 cities declining year-over-year.
